Ralph, a Maths graduate from the University of Bristol, has spent the last 30 years involved in UK and European equity markets working both for traditional stockbroking firms and investment management businesses. In 1990 he co founded Rowan Dartington , a specialist small company stockbroker with corporate finance , institutional research and private client operations. Following the sale of Rowan Dartington in 2006, Ralph joined Montanaro Asset Management , an investment management business focusing on Pan –European SmallCap markets, and helped it grow it’s assets under management from £400m to £2bn. The equity funds he managed consistently outperformed the benchmark indices in bull and bear markets. He has extensive knowledge of companies across all sectors both as an investor and as an advisor. He has also mentored teams of analysts and fund managers in the UK and European SmallCap markets.
