A Rickmansworth based company specialising in information management is the latest company to turn to the East of England Regional Development Loan Scheme to help it achieve its plans for growth.
In Form Consult provides businesses with bespoke data protection and information management consultancy alongside IP protected systems to assist with their information management needs.
The company has successfully secured a £200,000 loan from the scheme, which is managed by Finance East, part of The FSE Group.
As the amount of data collected by big business increases at an exponential rate, the need to both manage it effectively and exploit it to improve, has become a familiar concern for larger companies. In Form Consult has successfully positioned itself as a leading solution provider in this field with a series of large and high profile clients.
The 28 year old business is now looking to scale its offering to coincide with changes to data protection legislation that will affect many organisations by providing a mass training software tool to assist organisations with their data protection compliance.
The legislation changes to be implemented over the next couple of years mean that large companies breaching data protection laws may be fined the larger of 100 million euros or 5% of global annual income – for a company such as Apple, this could mean a 15 billion dollar fine – making the need for companies to ensure staff at every level are appropriately trained very apparent.
Jagjit Singh, In Form Consult owner and CEO, says: “Our mass training module has been tested by some of our existing clients with great results and we are excited to focus now on the rollout of the product. This will require expansion of the business all round, including office space and personnel and we’re pleased to have support from The FSE Group to help us realise this.”
This support has come not only in the form of finance, but also through The FSE Group’s free mentoring programme where companies can access a thorough and professional matching service to find them an appropriate business mentor who can offer expertise specific to their current needs and ambitions.
Finance East Fund Manager, Francis Kenealy, remarks: “In Form Consult is an established business with a robust strategy and secure infrastructure, generating sound opportunities to move forward. With a buoyant market driven by organisations’ need for effective data control alongside data protection legislation, they are well placed fulfil their growth goals and we look forward to being a part of this.”
Fiona Barringer, Mentoring Programme Manager at The FSE Group, comments: “Jagjit is an experienced and skilled business person but fully recognises the benefits that an external perspective can bring when growing a company. This is the second time that In Form Consult has come to us to help them engage an effective mentor and we are delighted to see such positive results come from these relationships. We would certainly encourage anyone who thinks their growing business could benefit from this process to get in touch for an initial conversation.”
